Depression by McN-A-343 of Contractile Response to Nerve. Stimulation in Rat Phrenic Nerve-Diaphragm Preparation

Abstract

|
In rat phrenic nerve-diaphragm preparation, the muscle contraction elicited, by the phrenic nerve stimulation was depressed by McN-A-343. The contraction by the direct muscle stimulation was little affected. In the presence of physostigmine, McN-A-343 did not produced depression of the contractile response to the nerve stimulation and direct simulation but produced increase of. the responses to both stimulations.
